GVI has a staff of knowledgeable, skilled and experienced personnel in Depot Operations. Our Depot capabilities include Intermediate Maintenance Activities (IMA's) and full Depot operations. We repair, upgrade and refurbish mechanical and electrical components, directly down to Printed Circuit Boards (PCB's). We also manufacture sub-assemblies, such as cables and wire harnesses for various Navy and Army customers.
Our Depots operate under an extremely stringent environment where policies and procedures are documented and audited to ensure compliance. We are adamant, no work starts without documented procedures, work instructions and test instructions. We have a staff of experienced industrial, mechanical and electrical engineers capable of reverse engineering products to develop the required documentation, such as work and test instructions, in house if they are not readily available via a Technical Data Package (TDP).
Quality Assurance is continuously monitored through periodic inspection and test points, and final Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT). We gather quality results and implement programs, such as lean six sigma, to improve performance. Our Depot personnel understand the importance of gathering and analyzing failure data, as well as tracking parts used in the repair, upgrade and refurbishment process for future forecasting requirements.
