Analyze Existing IT and IS Products

GVI has the experience in evaluating and recommending systemic improvements to existing Information Technology (IT) and Information System (IS) databases, web-sites and IT applications.  We are responsible for the coordination, design, implementation and maintenance of systems used to track failures, parts requests and communicate trouble calls with operational personnel both in and out of theatre.

Perform Maintenance and Technical Support

GVI provides LAN/WAN administrative coordination, maintenance and support for multiple Federal agancies and program offices.  We provide network administration which includes help desk support for hundreds of users, troubleshooting of computer and network hardware, maintaining disaster recovery system and data, application installation and management, desktop configuraiton, laptop and network printers for LAN operation, maintaining LAN servers, coordinating with OEMs and vendors – hardware procurement, maintenance actions (including warranty issues) and system upgrades, and acting as the key point of contact to coordinate and assist with the NMCI implementation.  Our IT personnel have provided dedicated management and maintenance of the LAN/WAN, including coordination with cognizant Government LAN/WAN administrators.

Modify, Implement and Maintain Web Based Information Systems and Links

GVI is responsible for the development of several information tools utilized by EOD-TD and the operational JSEOD units throughout the world to include in-theatre operations.  These information tools include the MTRS Trouble Call database, ECP Tracking Database and the Documentation Tracking Database.  GVI prototyped a Documentation Tracking System and is in the process of converting the system to a web-based system to provide EOD-TD, PMS-408 and operational personnel access to equipment documentation in a real-time environment.  The data set currently contains active links to 580 documents, drawings, manuals and other relevant technical documentation. 

Develop web-site structure, prepare documentation for population, implement and maintain web sites

GVI has experience in establishing and maintaining a technical libraries.  Our libraries hold more than 3,000 documents in both hard copy and electronic copy format. GVI created and implemented a technical library desktop tool for inventory and control of all documents.  This rapid response system addresses fleet and user requests for documentation in one click access to approved documentation, configuration management history, physical storage location, and tracks document change requests.

Provide Systems Engineering And Technical Support For Items Outside The Cognizance Of NMCI

The GVI staff maintains the Operating Systems for several Government agencies and Program Offices.    Within this tasking, GVI provides IT system hardware and software inventory management, management and administration of network accounts, performs maintenance and repair of IT systems and file servers, provides training for personnel, installs new OEM provided hardware, coordinates hardware repairs with OEM’s as required, maintains routers and switches, and coordinates maintenance and upgrades of IT equipment and software with outside activities.  GVI provides monthly management / maintenance reports that address equipment issues/concerns, trouble report activity, and equipment and software upgrades.
