GVI, Inc., a growing engineering and consultant firm has several electrical engineering positions available.  Job responsibilities include manufacturing engineering support, design engineering, and industrial engineering.  Within the range of responsibilities, the candidate will perform manufacturing engineering tasks including designing processes to manufacture and troubleshoot state of the art electronics for sonar systems, as well as perform design engineering analysis to upgrade electronics for reliability improvements, and recommend solution for obsolete components and parts.

Travel to Newport, RI will be required.  Applicants available and / or willing to relocate to Newport, RI highly desirable.

Positions require a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering (Engineering Technology Degrees are not acceptable).  Applicant must have the ability to work independently under general supervision to prioritize and schedule / workload and deadlines.  Applicant shall have strong communication skills to communicate effectively, both orally and written, to GVI management and clients.  Additionally, applicant must have excellent interpersonal skills and discipline to interact with associates and clients in a professional, fair and cooperative manner.  CAD experience required.  An applicant with programming experience is a plus. 

Strong sonar technicians / electronic technician without a degree may be considered for entry level positions.
